BJERG, copenhagen

BJERG Architecture's department in Copenhagen was established in 2008 at Østerbro, where the department shared a charming backyard with an interior design and a carpentry workshop.

As a specialist in designing sustainable passive housing and socially-funded environmental architecture, the department has many tasks ranging from energy renovation and new constructions of sustainable, general housing across passive housing, child day care centers and schools, private homes and public housing.

In 2016 along with the increasing number of tasks, the department grew out of the backyard at Østerbro and moved to new premises in a green courtyard centrally placed on Vesterbro, where Bjerg Architecture today houses a classic, energy-renewed industrial house.

The Copenhagen Department is engaged in networks for both sustainability, urban and business development in the capital of Denmark.
