An international view and courage to go new ways has always played a key role in the development of BJERG Architecture, which, as one of the first Danish architectural companies, saw the possibilities in the Norwegian market, where we won the competition in 2011 for the development of Oslo's first passive house child day care center.

It was the starting point for a cooperation with Oslo municipality in developing new sustainable buildings and in May 2016, BJERG Architecture established a drawing office in Oslo, and continued the work on further three large passive house child day care centers in the Norwegian capital.

The department, which is directly linked to our Norwegian business partners, has been established centrally in relation to the Oslo City Center and public transport to Oslo Airport Gardermoen, is today highly regarded as a leading advisor for the development of sustainable public buildings. In the future, the Norwegian department will seek further expansion in, among other things, general housing, nursing homes and youth housing as energy buildings.
